The Compendium’s COVID-19 section now features new reports from Austria, Hungary and Italy. The Austrian government launched a hardship fund of EUR 2 billion and increased the existing Artists’ Social Insurance Fund with EUR 5 million. In Italy, measures include the establishment of a EUR 130 million fund for the support of the performing arts and the audiovisual sector, while the Hungarian government is still in the phase of preparing both general and cultural measures. Our report on the Netherlands has been updated with the most recent developments regarding COVID-19 and the cultural sector as well. Please find all the available country reports here or via our menu.
Our list with online cultural initiatives is growing too, including for example the first analysis of the Network of European Museum Organisations (NEMO) on how COVID-19 has impacted museums and the launch of the Culture of Solidarity Fund by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF).
