We have revived our short profiles section with the publication of a short cultural policy profile of Lithuania. This short profile is the first to follow a new structure and more (updated) short profiles will be developed soon.
In 2017, the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends started publishing short cultural policy profiles. These documents aim to summarise the cultural policy profiles from the database and give a quick overview of the most important elements of a country’s cultural policy and related developments.
As the Compendium adopted a new methodological grid for the regular country profiles last year, we decided to redevelop the structure of the short profiles as well. From now on, all new short profiles are structured as follows: 1) Facts and figures; 2) Cultural policy system (objectives, main features and background); and 3) Current cultural affairs (key developments and key themes). The new short profiles also include an organigram of how cultural policy making is organised and a table on public cultural expenditure by level of government.
The new short profile of Lithuania can be found here and in our short profiles section.
