A short cultural policy profile for the Czech Republic is now available on the Compendium. A special thanks go to our Czech expert Pavla Petrová from the Arts and Theatre Institute Prague (ATI).
Below a few highlights of recent cultural policy developments in the Czech Republic:
- The pandemic crisis and several lockdowns that have impacted the creative sector since March 2020 have significantly influenced a change in the perception of culture.
- Seven key initiatives regarding the parts dedicated to culture in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) correspond with the main objectives of the State Cultural Policy.
- Main topics of the new State Cultural Policy are: Status of the Artists, development of creative and cultural sector (CCS) in regions, digitalisation of CCS and modernisation of cultural institutions with the emphasis on cultural heritage.
