Our Compendium members from Finland, Montenegro and the Netherlands have some interesting cultural policy news to share!
- Finland: the Finnish Cultural Policy Research Center CUPORE recently published a Diversity Report that examines the circumstances of artists with foreign background in Finland and seeks to develop a framework for monitoring this area over time. Also very interesting are the current visualisations (in Finnish) which examine the regional accessibility of cultural services and the financing of arts and culture in municipalities.
- Montenegro: The University “Mediterranean” Podgorica in partnership with Cultural Trends are organising on the 15.-16. April 2025 an International Conference on the topic “Cultural Development and the Future of Cultural Policy” in Kotor (Montenegro). Call for abstracts are still possible until the 20.12.2024.
- The Netherlands: The Boekman Foundation has recently published an English version of their Culture Monitor that brings together data on developments in cultural life in the Netherlands and makes it accessible in various ways. It contains textual analyses report on long-term trends and put current developments on the agenda. Additionally an interactive dashboard provides access to a database with a large number of indicators about the Dutch cultural sector.
