Senior researcher
Anna Kanerva works as a senior researcher and vice-director at the Center for Cultural Policy Research Cupore in Helsinki. Her research interests include international comparative cultural policies, intergovernmental organizations, education in arts and culture, cultural and creative industries, cultural heritage policies, digitalization of culture and data and the knowledge base of cultural policies. As Cupore’s vice-director, she actively works in the development, administration and communications activities of the research center. During 2017-2020 Kanerva acted as the subeditor of the Nordic Journal of Cultural Policy.
Kanerva holds an MA in Ethnology and M.Soc.Sc in Sociology (Master’s Programme in Cultural Policy) from the University of Jyväskylä. She has also studied Organization and Management at the Aalto University School of Economics. Before Cupore, she worked at the Master’s Programme in Cultural Policy at the University of Jyväskylä and as a researcher in a private cultural consultancy.
