Associate professor
Audronė Rimkutė is associate professor of Cultural Policy and Philosophy at the Institute of Social Sciences and Applied Informatics at Vilnius University (Lithuania). She obtained her PhD in Philosophy at Vilnius University, having defended the dissertation “The Idea of Social Epistemology in Postanalytic Philosophy” in 2005. In 2006, she started working at Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University as an assistant of the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies and extended her fields of interests to cultural policy. Since 2020, she is the head of the master study programme committee of Arts Management. Audronė Rimkutė has published on topics ranging from cultural and creative industries to the democracy in cultural politics and has worked as an expert and consultant on culture research. Her current research focuses on autonomy of art and cultural organisations and their relations with political institutions.
