Klara Koštal is an expert on European and international cultural policies. She studied comparative literature, cultural management, and political and communication sciences at the University of Vienna and King’s College London. She has held various positions in the arts and culture sector (PHACE Ensemble for New Music, Kulturforum New York, art:phalanx, Werk X). Currently Klara Koštal works as a policy officer for the UNESCO Convention on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions at the Austrian Commission for UNESCO. She is the editor and co-author of several publications, such as “Kritische Diversität im Kultursektor – Reflektionen aus dem Forum Fair Culture 2020 – 2022” and “UNESCO TALK: RETHINKING CULTURAL POLICY Learning from International Experience (2023)”. She has facilitated several workshops and held lectures in the fields of artistic freedom, artistic mobility and anti-discriminatory cultural policies. Linked-In
