State of Culture Barometer | Culture Action Europe

Pedro Pérez Rothstein

Pedro Pérez Rothstein studied Political Science at the University of Barcelona, followed by an MA in Cultural Management. His dissertation on the Public Value of Alternative Theatres won an award from the Spanish Society of Authors and Writers (SGAE) in 2017. He is also a theatre director and dramaturg, having obtained an MA in Dramatic Writing from the University of the Arts London (UAL) in 2019. The Compendium strongly condemns the armed attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine, which has resulted in a war on European territory. This act not only violates international law and human rights, but also disregards democratic values such as peace, freedom and equality. The full profile for Ukraine is from 2017 and therefore very outdated. While our Ukrainian expert is working on a full version, information on cultural policy that take recent developments and events into account can be found in the interim profile for Ukraine from 2024.
